Pastor Luppino grew up in a Roman Catholic home in Connecticut. He was saved at the age of fifteen following a family crisis. In the providence of God, he finished high school at the Glen Cove Christian Academy in Glen Cove, ME where he graduated in 1977. It was at Glen Cove that he came to understand that living for the Lord was the result of a personal, day by day choice.
Following Chris’ high school graduation, he attended the Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute and completed one of two years of an Associates Degree in Fire Science Technology. His goal at that time was to become a professional firefighter and eventually an arson investigator. At the end of his first year, while listening to a former missionary preach, the Lord impressed upon him that He wanted Chris to go into the Gospel ministry.
He married his wife, Nancy, in the summer of 1978 and the two attended the New Brunswick Bible Institute in Victoria, New Brunswick, Canada as newlyweds. They each graduated in 1981. While still at NBBI, the Lord led them to the Howland Baptist Church in Howland, Maine. After twelve years of ministry in Howland, the Lord called them to the Berean Baptist Church in Brunswick, Maine where they served for seven years. In 2000, he was called to Florida by the Open Door Baptist Church in order to start Chapel Baptist Church.
In addition to his ministry at Chapel Baptist Church, the Lord has given Pastor Luppino an extensive ministry on the mission field. He generally travels to the mission field twice a year to teach national pastors. His international travel has included Mexico, Argentina, Romania, India, and Tanzania. The Lord has given him the insight and ability to communicate God’s Word effectively cross culturally.
Pastor Luppino enjoys serving the Lord and spending time with his family.
Having been raised in a Christian home, Pastor Boots has attended church most of his life. Born in Iowa, his childhood was spent in Indiana and later in south Florida. Through the ministry of a Christian camp that he attended in Indiana, he was saved when he was ten years old. From age twelve to the present, he has been a student of the Bible and was called to be a preacher when he was fifteen years old.
Pastor Boots knew his calling was from God and saw His leading; he attended Pensacola Christian College for training in the ministry. It was there that he met his wife, Laura. As Joe’s love for the Word grew, he realized that he needed more training to be an effective servant of God. After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree, he went to Pensacola Theological Seminary. It was here that he developed his love of sound, Biblical doctrine. It was during this time that Joe and Laura welcomed their first son, Judah.
After having received his Master of Divinity degree in May 2011, Joe began looking for ways to serve the Lord. Near the end of September 2011, he and his family moved to central Florida so he could serve as the Assistant Pastor at Chapel Baptist Church.
The Boots have three sons- Judah (4), Timotheus (2), and Ezekiel (4 months). His life verse is John 3:30, “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
